
Fifteen-year-old Charlotte Wong is a scholarship student at the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying with Corey McVicar since 2015. She began her piano studies at the age of five. In 2014, Charlotte attended the Colburn Festival and was awarded second place in the Festival Sonata Competition. She has won top prizes in many competitions, such as the MTAC Concerto Competition, US Open Music Competition, Los Angeles Young Musicians International Competition, SF Asian Youth Talent Competition, International San Jose Piano Competition, Los Angeles International Liszt Competition, Vancouver International Music Competition, and Henry & Carol Zeiter Piano Competition. Charlotte was invited to perform in at the Sanatorium Maroni in Busko-Zdroj, Poland at the XXIII International Chopin Festival in the summer of 2017. She was also invited to play at the 2018 SFCM annual Gala concert, Young Artists Play Liszt Concert, SFCM North Bay Wildfires Benefit Concert, SFCM Centennial Pre-College Concert, and at the San Francisco Presidio. In 2018, she was featured in the Live From Here variety show with Chris Thile (aired on NPR), performing at the Davies Symphony Hall in San Francisco. Charlotte has also participated in master classes with Jeffrey Kahane, Edward Auer, Garrick Ohlsson, and James Giles. Most recently, she was a finalist at the Mondavi Center Young Artists Piano Competition.
Besides playing piano, Charlotte enjoys bullet journaling, reading, and traveling to new places. She is president of calligraphy club and treasurer of art club at her school and has also been in the leadership class for two years.
