21-year-old pianist Elizabeth Zietz is one of the eight 2016-2018 Lang Lang Young Scholars, chosen worldwide. In 2015, she founded California Young Musicians, a network that connects passionate young musicians to share their music together.

Elizabeth made her concerto debut at age thirteen with the Orange County Symphony. Since then, she has appeared as a concerto soloist with the South Coast Symphony and Midwest Young Artists Symphony Orchestra performing concerti by Mendelssohn, Mozart, and Rachmaninoff. Recent concert engagements include performances at Carnegie Hall's Stern Auditorium/Perelman Stage for the GRAMMY Salute to Classical Music - Celebrating the Legacy of Leonard Bernstein, Carnegie Hall's Weill Recital Hall, and Millennium Park's Pritzker Pavilion in Chicago, among others.

Elizabeth has been a top prizewinner in many international, national, and state-wide competitions. She was the first prize winner of the Lansum International Music Competition, Grand Prize winner of the Glendale Piano Competition, and two-time laureate of the biennial International Liszt Competition in Los Angeles. She is a two-time National YoungArts Competition winner (2018 and 2019). 

In 2017, Elizabeth was one of 13 pianists selected in the world to participate in the Oxford International Piano Festival in England and was a full-scholarship recipient. She has also received merit scholarships to the EMANACJE International Music Festival in Poland, Tanglewood Institute Young Artists Piano Program in Boston, ​Warsaw Piano Institute in Poland, Lansum International Music Festival in California, and Southeastern Piano Festival in South Carolina. 

Elizabeth is a senior at Yale University. Her previous teachers include Claudia Xi, Valentina Gottlieb, and Grace Fong.
