Josephine Widjaja is a sixteen-year-old high school junior and pianist. She has been playing and performing piano since the age of 4 and has been studying under Agatha Hou. Josephine won awards in numerous competitions, such as the 2014 Classical Festival, the 2015 Impressionistic/Contemporary Festival, and multiple John C. Walker Competitions. She is also a winner in the Lansum International Piano Festival and the American Fine Arts Festival, and has performed at the Zipper Concert Hall of the Colburn School of Music and Carnegie Hall. Josephine also performs the piano at her church for worship. Josephine was a semi-finalist in the Classics Alive Program in 2016, and is now the Senior Intern of the Classics Alive Foundation. She loves to serve her community by sharing music in senior homes, hospitals, and other venues. In addition to her passion for music, Josephine loves reading, writing, and watching films and musicals.
