Justin Wahby, age 16, has been playing piano for 11 years and is a pre-Collegiate student of the San Francisco Conservatory of Music, studying under the tutelage of Dr. John McCarthy and Dr. Natsuki Fukasawa. Justin has participated in numerous music festivals and achieved top prizes in national as well as international competitions. Most recently, he was the winner of the 2019 Celia Mendez Beethoven Society Competition as well as earning the 2nd Prize Scriabin Award at the 2019 Virginia Waring International Piano Competition. In 2019, Justin appeared as a soloist with the Sacramento Youth Symphony. Justin was also the silver medalist in the 2019 Mondavi Young Artists Competition in Piano. Additionally, he has won major prizes in the Los Angeles Liszt Competition, MTAC Piano Solo Competition, American Protege Piano & Strings Competition, Auburn Young Artist Competition, Alexander and Buono International, Orfeo International Music Competition in Vipiteno, Italy, US Open piano competition, and the USIMC. He has had the privilege of performing in masterclass with many distinguished artists including Nelita Trull, John Perry, Paul Lewis, Sasha Starcevich, Boris Slutsky, and Alan Chow. 

In addition, as a chamber music musician, Justin has participated in various chamber music events including a first place appearance at the MTAC VOCE competition (Sacramento Branch) and at the 2017 Chamber Music Competition sponsored by the Sacramento Chamber Music Society. He also has performed at senior residences, community centers and various cultural events in Sacramento as a way to give back to the community.
