Seventeen-year-old pianist Kevin Cho made his concerto debut at the age of nine with the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra. Since then he has been featured as a soloist with the Antelope Valley Symphony Orchestra and the Southwestern Music Festival Orchestra.  

Highlights of his most recent accomplishments in the competitive scene includes 1st place at the 22nd Virginia Waring International Competition (2019), 2nd place at the 9th Yamaha USASU International Piano Competition (2019), 1st place at the 2018 National MTNA-Kawai Junior Piano Competition and 1st place at both the 2017 and 2018 Lansum International Competition and 2nd place at the 2018 Los Angeles International Liszt Competition. Winning the grand prize at the 2017 Young Muse International Music Festival provided him another performance opportunity in Weill Recital Hall, Carnegie Hall in New York City where he has debuted previously in 2014.  

Kevin started his piano study at four and a half with his mother, Agnes Kim, and has been under the tutelage of Rufus Choi since 2013. In addition, he has participated in masterclasses with such artists as Jean-Yves Thibaudet, Oxana Yablonskaya, Peter Takacs, John Perry, Dmitry Rachmanov, Sasha Starcevich and Lucinda Carver.  To further his studies, he has attended the 2018 Montecito International Music Festival as a junior fellow recipient and also participated in the 2017 John Perry Academy.
