Pianist Ryan Sheng is a prizewinner of numerous international and regional competitions, including 1st prize and the special prize at the 10th Rosario Marciano International Competition, 3rd prize at the Virginia Waring International Piano Competition, and 2nd prize, the Audience Award, and the Young Jury prize at the Emory Young Artist Piano Competition. He also won the Ross McKee Foundation Award in 2020 and the first prize at the 2018 Pacific Music Competition. In 2016, he was selected as one of 24 contestants worldwide for the 2016 Gina Bachauer International Competition. As first prize winner of the North Coast Festival International Piano Competition, Ryan was invited to give multiple performances at Carnegie Hall. In 2017, he made his Belgium debut, giving a solo recital as part of the Brussels Music Festival.

Ryan has also participated in renowned festivals with full merit scholarships, including the Cliburn Junior International Piano Competition Festival and the PianoTexas Young Artist Program. As a winner of the PianoTexas Concerto Competition, Ryan performed Mozart Piano Concerto No. 21, K. 467 with the Fort Worth Symphony Orchestra under the baton of Maestro Miguel Harth-Bedoya. He is scheduled to perform Rachmaninov Piano Concerto No. 2 with the Golden Gate Youth Symphony after winning the symphony's 2020 Solo Competition.

Ryan Sheng is a student of Mr. Frank Levy. He previously studied with Mrs. Anna Polonsky.
