Sixteen-year-old Korean-American pianist Tyler Kim, made his concert debut at the age of ten with the Viennese International Orchestra at the Palais Ausburg in Vienna, Austria. Since then, he’s performed with various orchestras including the San Diego Symphony, Alicante Philharmonic Orchestra, and Montgomery Symphony Orchestra.

His recent 1st place prizes include: Blount-Slawson Young Artists Competition, Mondavi Center National Young Artists Competition, MTNA California State Competition, Steinway Junior Piano Competition. Most recently Tyler won the Grand Prize at the LA Music Center’s Spotlight Competition, awarding him $5,000, a full scholarship to the 2019 Aspen Music Festival, and a solo performance opportunity at Walt Disney Concert Hall.

Highlights of Tyler’s solo performances include two performances at Carnegie Hall, several recitals for the American Cancer Society, and a recital sponsored by the “Advocates of Classical Music”.

Tyler is currently a sophomore at Temecula Valley High School and studies with Dr. Myong-Joo Lee.
