Charlotte Wong is a sophomore at Aragon High School in San Mateo. She was admitted to the Pre-College program of San Francisco Conservatory of Music in 2015 and is now under the tutelage of Corey McVicar. She has been playing piano since she was five. In 2015, Charlotte was the winner of the MTAC Concerto competition of the North California Region and was awarded second in the US Open Music Competition Open Concerto (Advanced) Group by playing Chopin Concerto No.2 in F minor. In 2014, she took part in the Colburn Music Academy Piano Festival which had 30 students from all over the world and won second place in the Festival Sonata Competition. In 2016, she participated in the San Jose International Piano Competition and received 3rd place in the Junior Category along with the Best Bay Area Contestant. Charlotte also received 2nd place at the Los Angeles Young Musicians International Competition. Most recently, she was awarded 2nd place in the Los Angeles Liszt International Competition along with the Best Paganini Performance.
