Kevin Cho (14), born and raised in Los Angeles, began piano study at four and a half with his mom and has been under the tutelage of Rufus Choi since 2013. His most recent winning of the grand prize at the 2017 Young Muse International Music Festival brought him another performance at the Carnegie Hall where he has debuted in 2014. He also has won first place at the 2017 Lansum International Music Festival. He is a recipient of the 2015 David Weiss Scholarship. He has appeared as a soloist with the Antelope Valley College Symphony Orchestra (2016), SYMF Orchestra (2014) and the Los Angeles Doctors Symphony Orchestra (2013). His past top prize winning competitions include Bradshaw Buono International Piano Competition, American Protege International Competition for Strings and Piano, Katheryne Gawartin Chopin Competition, Glendale Competition, MTAC Solo/Concerto Competition, Gail Newby Concerto Competition, Robert Turner Piano Concerto Competition, SYMF (Young Artist, Open Solo, Baroque, American Composers and Concerto), CAPMT Sonata festival, CAPMT Concerto Competition, and the WLA- MTAC Alice Frazier Kitchen Memorial Scholarship Competition. He has taken master classes and coachings with Oxana Yablonskaya, John Perry, Charles Fierro, Mark Richman, Dmitry Rachmanov, Sasha Starchevich, and Sarkis Baltaian.
